We know that high quality care is a priority for someone you love. We are very particular in selecting only the most qualified health care professionals in the Washington region. Our caregivers undergo rigorous screenings, and are fully licensed and bonded.

Additionally, we require each care professional to have:

  • Two or more years of experience in health care, with at least one year in a nursing home or hospital
  • CPR certification
  • PPD testing (TB testing)
  • Criminal background check
  • Physical examination
  • Two or more positive references
  • Professional licensing

At Specialty Care Services, each person we serve is honored, respected, and treated as a unique individual. Our Director of Nursing takes time to get to know personal likes, dislikes, personality type, challenges being faced, etc., and then develops an individualized health care plan. She chooses 2-3 care professionals who are best suited for that particular client. Finally, the client and family have the opportunity to interview each candidate and decide which one is best suited for their situation. Learn more here.

We work hard to provide the most comfortable, appropriate caregiver match based on each caregiver’s skill sets, personality, and professional experience. For example, if someone is quiet, reserved, and loves to bake, we’ll find several caregiver options to best complement those characteristics. This leads to a smooth transition to in-home care, and helps to create a long and lasting bond of companionship.
