Specialty Care Services prides itself in providing patients and their families with outstanding in-home health care. In turn, we only hire the highest quality, most professional, licensed nursing personnel, both skilled and unskilled. Our caregivers have an average of over six years’ experience.

In addition to meeting patients’ healthcare needs, Specialty Care Services’ caregivers are sensitive to cultural and spiritual needs. SCS has an extremely diverse client base, and our staff is respectful and accommodating of each patient’s unique lifestyle.

As such, we hold strict standards to ensure that our caregivers are not only highly qualified, but also a good fit with Specialty Care Services’ culture and values.

All Specialty Care Services caregivers have:

  • Two or more years of experience in health care, with at least one year in a nursing home or hospital
  • CPR certification
  • PPD testing (TB testing)
  • Criminal background check
  • Physical examination
  • Two or more positive references
  • Professional licensing

All Specialty Care Services caregivers undergo a comprehensive evaluation before joining the SCS family. Upon hiring, they receive constant support from our Director of Nursing.

Home Care & Assisted Living – Certified Nursing Assistant

Assist patients with daily living activities, in addition to offering bedside care and general support.Duties include:

  • Offering companionship
  • Accompanying patients to appointments

  • Preparing meals
  • Assisting with bathing and dressing
  • Lifting and transferring
  • Running errands and shopping
  • Leading range of motion exercises
  • Helping with housekeeping and laundry
  • Assisting with ambulation

Senior Care – Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide bedside care and assistance, specializing in Geriatric Care. Duties include:

  • Companionship
  • Meal Preparation
  • Assistance with bathing & dressing
  • Lifting and transferring
  • Errands and shopping
  • Personal Care & Hygiene
  • Range of Motion Exercise
  • Assistance with Ambulation
  • Accompany to Appointments
  • Light Housekeeping & Laundry
